I recently reviewed [Lysol Dual Action Disinfecting Wipes][1] and absolutely loved them. They were almost perfect! The only thing holding them back from perfection is the fact that they aren't made with natural ingredients. I was content on them being my new favorite wipe, but when I came across **Seventh** **Generation** **Disinfecting** **Wipes**, which *are* all natural, so I had to give them a try too.

I have tried all natural wipes before, [Clorox Green Works Natural Cleaning Wipes][2] **,** but they weren't disinfecting wipes, just cleaning wipes. Plus, they left a ton of lint behind on my black appliances, so I never bought them again. I was expecting a similar experience with these Seventh Generation Wipes, but thankfully, no lint here!

**Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes** are made with natural ingredients and kill 99.99% of germs, including Salmonella and Influenza. These wipes do everything unnatural disinfecting wipes do, but the difference is that this product kills germs with pure plant extracts.

Overall, these are great disinfecting wipes. They are extremely soft to the touch and made with all natural ingredients. I will definitely continue to buy them even though I don't care for the scent.

Performance
I am so excited to find an all natural disinfecting wipe! Besides its naturalness, my favorite feature of these wipes is how soft they are. They are softer than baby wipes! However, they are so soft, they occasionally tear when you pull them out of the dispenser.

Scent
The only real downside to these wipes is the scent. Seventh Generation calls the scent *Lemongrass & Thyme*. I've never had an aversion to these scents before, but I am not crazy about them on these wipes.

Cleaning wipes are a product that I have in my home on a regular basis. I love Seventh Generation cleaning products because they are all natural, and I would like to tell you about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes.

I used to use a dishcloth to wash dishes and clean my countertops, but often times a dishcloth would start to smell sour, thus making my countertops smell bad. A tub of Seventh Generation wipes help solve that problem, and they kill germs at the same time.

The tub contains 35 wipes that measure 7" by 8". These wipes are very thick and cloth like, but I can't say I am happy with the fragrance. Mine have a Lemongrass and Thyme scent, but I personally don't think like they have either of those scents.

This is cold and flu season, and I love that the top of the tub reads "Kills Influenza A Virus". They claim to make cleaning quick and easy, that they will disinfect while I clean, that they effectively controls odors, and that they will not harm hard, nonporous surfaces. They container also states these are made from botanically pure plant extracts. The back of my tub suggests they can be used in kitchens, children's toys, garbage cans and toilet seats.

I have used quite a few different brands of cleaning wipes, and while these are considered "natural", I don't really care for how they clean. I like how these are thick and don't tear easily, but I think they should come out of the container wetter than they do. I used these yesterday to clean my kitchen counters, and by the time I had one small area clean the wipe was dry.

They do not have any texture on them that helps scrub dried milk on the counters, in that regard I prefer the Lysol Dual Wipes. Considering the fact that Seventh Generation Wipes are more expensive, I don't think they will be on my shopping list any time soon.

Performance
They clean okay, and are nice and thick, but I wish the wipes were wetter

Scent
I don't like the scent at all, and it does not remind me of thyme or lemongrass

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

It was just few months back I came across this wonderful brand, Seventh generation. I saw the Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes for the first time, at my friend's place and I found the packaging itself so fascinating. The wipes come in this cylindrical green colored box, that is so soothing to eyes. I was already in love with the product and also, he told me many good things about it. So, I had to make a purchase and I am glad I did.
These wipes are good to be used on any non porous, hard surfaces like glass, ceramic, tiles, plastic and so on. It comes with easy instructions to follow. To clean the surface, wet it with a wipe and wipe clean. For tough stains, let stand for a few minutes and to disinfect, leave the surface wet for 10 minutes and let air dry. Now, comes the best part, no rinsing or wiping is required, even on food contacting surfaces. I use these wipes mostly on my workstation in the kitchen, the area which comes in contact with food the most often. Having cleaned the surface with these wipes gives me a satisfaction of being germs free, since they kill over 99.9% of household germs.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

Everyone loves the convenience of wipes for cleaning, they are super quick and convenient so what isn't to love? I had stopped buying the Clorox and Lysol ones because I was concerned about the safety, both for the environment and my family, of their ingredients. And I was really missing the fact that even my husband would grab a wipe from time to time and wipe down the bathroom counters or around the kitchen sink. So I was THRILLED when I discovered these Seventh Generation wipes. They clean as well as any conventional wipes that I have used but inctead of harsh chemicals they use thymol, which is derived from thyme. Now if my daughter accidentally touches a surface that I have just wiped with these I am not as concerned, although I will still rinse her hand. I don't mind the smell of these at all. Unlike conventional disinfecting wipes they don't have a harsh chemical, or overly cloying artificial scent. It is a fresh slightly "herbal" scent that doesn't hang around long after the surface dries.

I love that these kill the flu virus! They're great for the cold and flu season. They also fight other germs but it's great that they tackle the cold and flu because every year it's a struggle at my house to keep healthy once someone gets sick.

I am always a fan of the convenient wipes in containers because they are so versatile and you can use them anywhere.

I was excited to finally find products that are natural and that still disinfect. These are one of the few I've found on the market that actually disinfect with natural products and don't smell so harsh and chemically after I'm done using them.

Pros--I can use these on door knobs, locks, faucet handles, the toilet handle, and even in the shower to wipe everything down after someone gets sick. I also use them on the toilet. They're also more natural than other brands.

Cons--not as powerful and potent as other disinfectants.

Performance
I truly believe in the power of these to keep illness in the house down because I notice less spreading of the flu and cold around the house after I use these.

Scent
The smell isn't too bad. It's not overly harsh. It isn't really refreshing but it's pretty good as far as a disinfectant goes.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

I'm not usually a fan of cleaning wipes. Most of them have warnings about needing to rinse surfaces after use, and they leave chemicals all over my hands. Once I've rinsed all my newly clean surfaces and washed my hands, all the convenience of using a wipe is gone, especially since I could've just used the rag I rinsed everything off with to clean it in the first place. The Seventh Generation wipes are different though, the active ingredient in them is Thimerasol, which is thyme oil. Because of this they are safe and require no rinsing or hand washing after use. I use these wipes for baby toys that can't go in the dishwasher as well as wiping down tables and high chairs when we go out to eat.

Performance
These wipes probably wouldn't be great for very dirty surfaces, but they are great for wiping up normal accumulations of surface dirt and sanitizing hard surfaces.

Scent
The lemongrass scent is a little weird but not that bad. I know some people really hate the smell of these wipes but I don't mind it. I'd definitely recommend smelling them in the store before you purchase them though.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

First off, I should say that I don't use disinfecting wipes very often; normally, we just use cleaning cloths and Holy Cow all-purpose cleaner. We bought these Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes because our friends and their toddler were staying with us for a week, so we thought it might be good to have these handy. Although they did the job, even on surfaces touched by little, sticky fingers, they were a bit smaller than we'd hoped and the Lemongrass & Citrus scent was really overpowering.

Performance
Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes work well to clean up sticky messes on a multitude of surfaces (stainless steel, wood, porcelain, tile and Corian, among others). They're not hugely absorbent (since they're already wet), but they did a good job on small juice spills and the like. In terms of size, they covered my whole hand, but my husband found them a little small for his.

Scent
The Lemongrass & Citrus scent was really overpowering, a bit like a citronella candle.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

so glad Seventh Generation came out with natural wipes, i often stay away from overly chemical products because I have allergies and sensitive reactions to unnatural chemical-addled products, but these are a great alternative. especially since they are gentler/better on the environment. that makes me feel less guilty about the disposable nature of this product. we also use Seventh Generation baby wipes in our home, and found out by accident that they are durable enough to withstand going through the washer & dryer!

Performance
great natural wipes to have in a pinch to clean up/disinfect when needed! i use them most in the bathroom, especially for the toilet and sink area. great especially between deeper cleanings. also great for the rest of the house, anywhere you need to disinfect quickly--the doorknobs for cold & flu season. i appreciate them also for pet use--when my cat throws up on the wood floor, or makes a mess around the litter box.

Scent
wish they were scent-free but still has a mild scent that is fairly pleasant and mild and not too overwhelming. has a clean and sterile smell.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

I am a fan of the Seventh Generation brand and was unhappy with other wipes I had used. Thus I purchased these Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes as an alternative.

These wipes are very effective at cleaning off surfaces and buildup. I use them on my kitchen counter tops and sink as well as in my bathroom. The wipes themselves feel more durable and thicker than other brands. I like this because you can scrub harder and longer without them falling apart.
In addition, they do not have as much liquid as other wipes. I actually prefer this because I hate feeling as if the wipe is absolutely soaked with too much product. These wipes have just the right amount of product to wipe surfaces without getting the liquid everywhere else or having it pool up on the counter.
A big problem with wipes is that they can dry out before you get to the end of the canister, leaving the last few wipes without product. I don't find this to be a problem with Seventh Generation Wipes. I think it has to do with the fact that they stick together more in the package, preserving the liquid. This can make them more difficult to pull out of the canister. But I would rather them not dry out so I don't mind.
The scent isn't my favorite, but I do like it better than the smell of other wipes and find that it doesn't linger as long.

Overall I recommend these wipes because of their durability, effectiveness, and the fact that they do not dry out as other wipes often do.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

I recently began using Seventh Generation products, because I was looking for a more naturally based solution to clean and disinfect my kitchen and bathrooms with. I love to disinfect but I always worry about the chemical residue that can be left behind, especially for my pets. These wipes work very well, just as good as Lysol. They come in a rather large canister, and I can easily just pull one wipe out and disinfect my whole kitchen countertop. They are so convenient to have on hand, especially after I cook with raw meat or anything. In addition to using them in my kitchen, I also keep a canister of them in my bathroom. I wipe down the countertops and toilet on a regular basis, and they work very well. They do not leave behind any sort of residue.

Scent
The scent is fresh smelling, it not very overpowering, but rather pleasant. Once you wipe down the surface and it dries, the scent does dissipate rather quickly.

Comments about Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes :

As I've said in other reviews of products that are suppose to be organic or green, if I'm going to buy green cleaning products, they have to at least be effective. Seventh Generation is one of my favorites. These wipes I bought work wonderfully and are really easy to use. Convenient City. They have a fairly strong scent to them (peppermint?) that I'm not 100% fond of but my husband liked it. My teens didn't even notice the smell. Sometimes cleaning wipes from containers like this get stuck as you're trying to pull them out, but these 7th Generation ones didn't. The price was extremely reasonable; in fact, I think it was cheaper than the non-green wipes I bought previously. This container is huge with lots of wipes in them. I'm going to order a container for my daughter at college and hopefully keep those germs down. I do not and will not buy antibacterial products as it seeps into ground water and it also kills the good bacteria on your hands/body along with the bad. It harms the immune system greatly.

Performance
Excellent cleaner that can be used absolutely everywhere but wood (I'm assuming).

Scent
A little strong, but maybe that's just me.
